Freezing fruits (banana, kiwi, avocado) (rapid freezing demo)
Today, we held a freezing demonstration for customers who process fruits and vegetables such as bananas, kiwis, and adcadados.
The customer came to our company because they were discarding 15 tons of ripe, edible parts each month without turning them into products, and were wondering if there was a way to reuse them by freezing them.
He has a desire to do something about this ``Mottainai'', and our company's mission of ``Eliminating the world's mottainai'' resonates with us!
Even when frozen with a liquid freezer, it is difficult to sell raw vegetables and fruits as raw products after thawing, but freezing itself is excellent, so they can be used for secondary purposes such as processed or cooked products. There is no problem at all!
Freezing bananas, kiwi and avocado
For each, I tried the following three patterns.
- As is (with skin)
- cut in half
- Peeled state (packing)
banana
kiwi
avocado
Submerge everything naked in the liquid freezer except for the packed items!
fruit after freezing
In this case, it will become completely sticky in about 25 minutes.
It is often said that a banana is so hard that you can drive a nail into it!
Since I put it in naked, I put it in cardboard and newspaper, carefully wiped it with alcohol, and stored it in the freezer.
At a later date, the customer wanted to evaluate the decompression using the three patterns mentioned above and develop ideas for secondary use!
For our company, we find it very interesting as an example of how fruit can be used, and we will continue to support it!
Regarding participation in the frozen demonstration
