Freezing taro (rapid freezing demonstration)

Today, customers who plan to handle taro visited our test room and we demonstrated rapid freezing.

 

The customer seems to be thinking of importing a large amount of taro from overseas and selling it for commercial use in Japan.

If they are left raw, there are issues with freshness and quality, and deterioration is inevitable, so they would like to use rapid freezing to distribute high-quality taro at a low price.

1. Prepare locally and rapid freezing before importing to Japan.
2. Imported raw from local sources and rapid freezing in Japan

We are planning to consider two patterns.

Freeze taro samples

The samples they brought were domestic taro, but they were enough to test the quality of rapid freezing, and if they are satisfied with the results, they would like to move on immediately.

The following three taro patterns were used in the test.

・Whole taro
・Peeled taro
・Boiled taro

We perform freezing tests on all of rapid freezer in our test room.

Pack it for liquid freezing, and place it on a tray for air freezing.

After freezing

The freezing time this time was around 40 minutes. Each one is now hard to the core.

Afterwards, I thawed some, boiled them, and tasted them.

When you thaw and boil taro, which was also slowly frozen, and compare the cross-sections, the difference is clear.

It has been proven that rapid freezing taro produces excellent results!

This time as well, there were subtle differences between each rapid freezer, but we will reveal which machine gave the best results in the test room.
